Default How to make, Copy, Paste, etc. available under Edit in Word 2000

After having my hard drive replaced, I had to reintall the Works Suite 2001
of which Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1 is a part. I no longer have under Edit the
Undo, Repeat, Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special available. This CD was part of
Dell's reinstallation packet.

One possibility: On the Options tab of Tools | Customize, clear the check
boxes for "Menus show recently used items first" and "Standard and
Formatting toolbars share one row." This will ensure that you always see all
the commands available to you.

Thank you for your suggestion but those items are still not available.

I figured out that I have to open Microsoft Word, then highlight message in
my E-mail, hit control and C and then go to Edit in Microsoft Word and the
Paste, or Paste Special are then able to be accessed. Previous to the change
of the hard drive I could highlight the message in the E mail and then open
Word and use the Paste Special.
