Default Help - Word opening trouble

As I double click on a Word Document, instead of opening the document, it
shows the following --

" The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open.
Click OK, and then close open dialog boxes to continue.
OK "

As I click on the OK button, the document opens.

How do I cure this problem of the dialog box ?
Is there any way to edit the dialog box settings?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

P.S. I am using Microsoft Office 2003 Professional version.
Hope this may pinpoint the dialog box problem... I am still
baffled..

Start Word and then use FileOpen to open the document.

If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the
Office Plugin that comes with it. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office
programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more
information.

I have just un-checked the Norton AntiVirus 'Enable Office Plug-in' and that
took care
of the problem. Thank you so much.
