Hi ?B?U21va2V5?=,
I want to link a database into a word document and have it updated as and when needed. I can get it to link but only as an object Display the DATA toolbar. Use the Insert Database button to connect and select the table (or query). In the very last step you'll see a check box that will say something like "Insert as field". You need to activate this in order to get an active link. The result will look like a Word table; behind it is a DATABASE field. If you have problems, I will need to know which VERSION of Word you have, in which application the database is, the exact error message you're getting, plus any other details.
