Different footer in new section?
I've got a big document and have just learnt about inserting section breaks.
I inserted a section break between main body of text and reference list. I put the word 'References' in the footer for section 2 and everything looked fine but that footer also appears at the bottom of pages in section 1 now; if I delete it from section 1 it also disappears from the reference list (section 2) where I want it! I thought the whole point of sections was to allow separate headers / footers etc. What am I doing wrong? TIA M |

Thanks Luc, it worked, much appreciated!
M "Luc" wrote in message ... Morris, Uncheck "same as previous" on the header and footer toolbar before you insert your footer for the second section. Luc |
