Default How to read table of contents

Hi all,

I have assignment in which I have to convert Doc to chm file.
I am able to get Table Of Contents. But I am not able to get heirarchy
(tree) of Table Of Contents.

e.g

Introduction and Scope 2
1 Database Tables 2
1.1 Requirements 2
1.1.1 Data 2
1.1.2 Links to Other Tables 2
2 Database User Profiles 5
2.1 Authors 5
2.1.1 Likely Tasks 6

Introduction and Scope
The primary purpose of the database is to support traceability
(requirements through design and verification).

1 Database Tables
1.1 Requirements
Ideally, the Requirements table will contain all requirements across all
projects.
1.1.1 Data
The following types of data will be stored in the Requirements table. Each
record will store an individual requirement, one or more sentences
containing a single occurrence of the word ?shall.? (Actual field names and
values are TBD.)

Question : 1. How can I get Content of TOC And Reference Content
like
TOC = 1 Database Tables 2
Content = Introduction and Scope
The primary purpose of the database is to support traceability
(requirements through design and verification).

Any kind of help from you appreciated for this project.
