Default Modifying indents in a menu?

Is it possible to modify the positions of the indents in another way
than just moving the tiny thingies on the ruler?

Hello,
You can use the increase/decrease indent buttons on the standard toolbar
they are next to the bullets and numbering buttons, that will let you indent
a paragraph.
You can use the menu, Format - paragraph.
Or you can use the keyboard shortcuts
CTRL+M = left indent
CTRL+SHIFT+M = remove left indent.

You have indent and remove-indent icons on your toolbar. Did you know that?
