Default Word to pdf conversion problem

I'm using MS-Word 97 and Adobe 5.0, trying to convert a file to pdf format.
Halfway through the conversion, the status bar stops. Only way to exit is to
shut computer down and reboot. OS is WinXP-SP2. Any suggestions?

Bob

.

Download a free pdf creation program and see if the problem
persists. Win2PDF from http://www.win2pdf.com/ Or PrimoPDF
from http://www.primopdf.com/
