Word 2000 vs 2003
I previously used Word 6.0 (dinosaur), and have been thrown into Word 2003.
I'm interested in taking a class on mail merge, but all that is offered is Word 2000. How different or similar are the two systems?? Would I be wasting my money?? |

Ironically, you would probably find that mail merge in Word 2000 is not much
different from mail merge in Word 6.0. The interface was entirely changed in Word 2002, so you may find Word 2003's Mail Merge Wizard a challenge. Here are some resources that may be helpful: Word 2002 Mail Merge Resource Center http://support.microsoft.com/default...product=wd2002 Express mail merges in Word 2002 http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs/...MailMerges.htm Mail merge in Word 2002 http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindy...002/MM2002.htm If you never created a merge in Word 6.0 and want more basic instruction, see these articles: How to create a Mail merge http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...AMailMerge.htm Creating a mail merge Data Source http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...DataSource.htm -- Suzanne S.
