Along with many new features brought after upgrading to Windows 10, Windows 7/8.1 users may lose some of the previous features and apps.
- Media Center application, DVD viewing will be done through separate software.
- Windows 7 desktop gadgets.
- Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Hearts games are available on Windows 7, but Microsoft will release Solitaire and Minesweeper versions for Windows 10 as Microsoft Solitaire Collection and Microsoft Minesweeper respectively.

- If you have a USB drive, you will have to download the latest driver from Windows Update or the manufacturer's website.
- If Windows Live Essentials is installed on the system, the OneDrive app will be removed and replaced with the inbox version of OneDrive.
Many features and applications will be removed after Windows 10 upgrade.
