I got an automatic upgrade when Windows shut down this morning. Now since I
have rebooted, Word will open, but when I click on File-Open, the program crashes. What can I do to get the program running again? Can I delete the program and reinstall it? -- Pat |

You can remove the offending update from Add/Remove Programs, where it shows
as "Security Update for Windows XP (KB908531)". Make sure the "show updates" box at the top is ticked or you won't see hotfixes in the list.
