Default Period and comma

I must have inadvertantly changed a setting in my Word appllication.,
Whenever I type a period, I get a period & comma together., Can someone
please tell me how to fix this?

Default Period and comma

Sounds like you added an autocorrect entry to replace the period with a
period and a comma. Delete the entry from your autocorrect list.
