Default address doesn't get pulled into envelopes and labels

We're using Office XP and Windows XP. A user wants to pull addresses
from her Outlook contacts into Word to print an envelope to send them a
cc of a letter. On my computer, I can select a contact, select Actions
| New Letter to Contact to bring up the Letter Wizard in Word, click
the Finish button to close it, then bring up the Envelopes and Labels
window and the address is there. Sounds like a lot, but it's really
about a three second process once you add a couple of toolbar buttons.
It doesn't work on her machine. The address doesn't get pulled into
the Envelopes and Labels window. The Insert Address button in the
Envelopes and Labels window isn't a valid option, because it doesn't
bring in the company name and adds the country. I've tried the
AutoText trick to force it to use a specified format, and that doesn't
work. Is there an option somewhere that prevents Word from bringing an
address into the Envelopes and Labels window? Thanks!

I tested a couple of variations and it appears that it hits a wall when
the number of lines in the address exceeds five. Most of hers have six
(name, title, company name, building number, suite number, city state
zip line). Any ideas?

With non standard addresses, you have to select the address first.

A macro solution may be better - see http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm
Automated envelope templates with this technique applied may be downloaded
from my web site.

Sounds like your InsertAddress button for Envelopes IS returning a Contact's
address information, but not the specific information you want. You might
want to read up on how to modify this and on the bug (In Word 2002/2003 the
InsertAddress button does not follow your commands in AddressLayout). I
don't know if the bug has been fixed--from your description it seems not.

A very extensive paper is available at:
