Default using all of bottom margin in Word

I have about 1-1/4 inches at bottom of page that I cannot put text on ...
even though the margin (via ruler) is down to about 1/4-1/2 inch of bottom.
Only info I can find is that some printers don't print entire page. This
printer HPIII, does ... because it does in WordPerfect!

I am doing 2 columns at the bottom of the page. I found another Word
document with 2 columns using the full bottom margin... but not sure if
"self-made" columns or not.

Any ideas? this is a real pain. If it weren't for most folks having only
Word, I would email this document in WordPerfect in a heartbeat!

Well, I got it to work by highlighting the whole document & then moving
bottom margin down via ruler. You can't see your coding like you can in
WordPerfect, so you spend a lot of time "experimenting."
