Show selected Find/Next text fully in window vs. only beginning
When using track changes or find-replace selected or highlighted text which
extends to one or more lines ends up beyond the window, i.e. the reference point for the selected text is at the beginning of the text so that the end may not be visible without the extra step of scrolling down to view the entire highlighted text. This occurs with every version of Word I have used - most recently Word XP Professional. I suggest at least having an option which allows the find or track changes to reference (or automatically advance the view point) to the end of a highlighted/selected text to reduce the number of separate operations required to edit a reviewed document. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Show selected Find/Next text fully in window vs. only beginning
This is a common complaint, though the specifics seem to vary with version.
I find, for example, that usually the found text is on the top line of the screen so that I can't see the preceding context. This seems to be a feature that MS just can't quite get right. -- Suzanne S.
