Word 2003 Tab Stop Problem
Hello All,
Any one farmiliar with an problem when inserting a tab stop in Word 2003, where if you are inserting the tab stop with the mouse by clicking in the ruler, the tab will not line up with the ruler marks. For example. I try to put in a tab stop at .5 inches, but for some reason it goes to ..52. I know I can go into FormatTabs, but the other way use to work just fine for me. It does it for all new and old documents. Any feed back would be great. Thanks |

Word 2003 Tab Stop Problem
Hi Willie,
If you only have the problem rarely, it might be easiest to double-click on the tab in the ruler, and set its position numerically (= type it in). You can influence the positions the tab stop will engage at with the drawing grid. On the Drawing toolbar, "Draw menu, Grid...", you set the horizontal spacing, and make sure "Snap to grid" is checked. Word 2003 Tab Stop Problem
Thanks Klause, you sent me in the right direction. When I went to my
drawing toolbar, and the grid option, I'm not sure if it is suppose to be this way, but my Horizontal spacint was set to .09, I changed it to ..1, and set it as default, and then all was fine. Thanks Willie Klaus Linke wrote: Hi Willie, If you only have the problem rarely, it might be easiest to double-click on the tab in the ruler, and set its position numerically (= type it in).
