Is there someway to get sentences (bulleted, numbered or otherwise) to line
up perfectly? Soemtimes they are out of line and coannot be coerced back in
line.

If you are wanting the numbers to align on the period, select "Right" for
the number position in Format | Bullets and Numbering.
