Default Word XP Doc Proctected, Cannot Unprotect

I was using a PC with Word 97 which was recently upgraded to Word XP. I had
a Form Document that was protected with no password in Word 97. I need to
make some additional changes to the document, but when I attempt to unprotect
it in Word XP, it asks me for a password (which there is none) and will not
let me unprotect. Any suggestions?

You can remove the protection by using Insert | File to insert the file into
a new blank document.
