Default Printing envelopes - sudden changes in the layout defaults

I normally print #10 envelopes and have no problem with the defaults being
set to auto position for the addresses. Suddenly, today, an envelope printed
with the TO address in the upper left hand corner. I found that the default
had changed to .4 fom left and .25 from top. I have never used those. I
changed the settings to AUTO and printed another envelope. Then, I went back
to see the settings again - they were back to .4 and .25.

I tried everything I could to get the program to remember the AUTO setting.

How can I fix this?
