Default how do I add text to a scanned document?

hi,
I'm trying to update my cv, but am having some difficulty. The cv was
done for me professionally sometime ago, I have scanned it ok onto my pc and
saved it in my documents. I now would like to change text, for example, my
telephone number and my email address is different. Is there anyone who
could help me?
Many Thanks

It depends on what type of file the scanned material was saved as . If as an
image file (picture of some type), editing the text will be *virtually*
impossible... at least with any acceptable result.

If scanned & saved as some sort of text file you may be OK. Go into Word's
Open dialog box & navigate to where the file is stored and try to open it if
it shows. If the doc does not show up, open the Files of Type list (below the
File Name: field) and select All Files(*.*). Try to open the file & see how
it works.
