Created date in "General" tape and "Statistics" tape
Hi Winnie,
Generally the 'Statistics' tab of the Word document Properties includes a 'printed' date not found in the 'General' tab and except for the 'Created' date the two tabs should usually show the same date for common information. The 'created' date/time in the Statistics tab starts when you first open a new, blank document (it's the "Word started using this file here date/time). If you just started Word to the new blank document it is, at least temporarily g the time you started Word up as well. The 'created' date/time in the General tab, below the "MS-DOS name" heading is the date that the blank document file is first saved to your computer (the date that Windows first saw it as the current file name). If you open an existing file and 'Save As' to a new file name then both date/times are updated to that time, as that new name didn't exist until then. ================ "Winnie" wrote in message ...
