Default Formatting tables in Word

I am struggling trying to adjust the margins of a table in word. How do I
move the table over to the right when I cannot get the X from the top left
hand corner? PLEASE HELP I've been trying to resolve this issue for a month.

Have you tried setting an indent on the Table tab of Table Properties?

Are you saying that you have a table that you want to have situated on the
right hand side of your document?

If that is the case, simply click on Table Properties | Alignment and select
Right.

I did that but I can't do it for all the tables in my document. Why would it
work for one and not another?

Have you looked at the Table tab of Table Properties? Do you see the "Indent
from left" setting?

Well, I'm not sure. What happens when you try? Any chance I could see the
document?
