printing multiple labels in Word 2007
Hi
I want to print 4 address labels on one sheets. However, each address is different. Specifically, I am printing address labels from eBay. Is there a way I can position the type so that I can re-insert the labels sheet and print off the next address? -- Millie |

Is there a way I can position the type so that I can re-insert the labels sheet and print off the next address? In the Labels dialog, click the option for "Single label" and then choose the row and column for that label. A better option: click the "Full page of same label" option, leave the address box empty, and click the New Document button. That creates a document containing a table corresponding to the labels on the sheet (if you don't see the edges of the cells, go to the Table ribbon and click the Show Gridlines button). Type one address in each of four cells, and print the page. Or insert an address in one cell, print, then delete that address and type a different one in a different cell to print again -- that's up to you. You could also save the document with the empty table, and open it instead of going back to the Labels dialog. A bit of advice: If you're using a laser printer, don't run the same label sheet through multiple times. The heat of the printer can make labels peel off and stick to the drum, and then you have an expensive repair. This isn't so likely with inkjet printers. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
