How to calculate a Future Date?
Currently, I am working on creating a Purchase Order for my company that will
be published online using Word (because that is what is required). Normally for this sort of task I would use Excel. Here is my problem: The date the Purchase Order is generated by the customer should remain contant with today's date but for all items that they listed on the Purchase Order it needs to reflect 6 weeks into the future (ship date). Today's Date: 5/22/06 Ship Date: 7/3/06 Can someone teach me how I would possibly go about doing that or if it is even plausible? ToniEPC |

How to calculate a Future Date?
This is more complex than you might imagine, but it can be done. See
http://addbalance.com/word/datefields2.htm for information on the different kinds of ways to make a date calculation work. It includes links to utilities to create the fields and an explanation of different macros that can be used instead of fields. It also has a link to http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...?Number=249902 which is a document with various fields already created. Another resource is http://www.gmayor.com/insert_a_date_...than_today.htm. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
