Removing Word Templates
Is there a way to totally control the template groupings and listed
templates when you create a new document? I want to remove template groups such as "Legal Pleadings", Mail Merge", etc. and just have the folders that I create in the Workgroup Templates location. Thanks -- Colin Halliday |

Removing Word Templates
Re-run setup and uninstall the templates you don't want.

Don't try and share normal.dot with your workgroup. That is an individual
user file. You may find http://www.gmayor.com/Template_Locations.htm useful. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Colin Halliday wrote: Thanks, didn't realise it was that simple. Additionally, if you want to retain any of the Microsoft-provided templates,
copy them to your own template folders before uninstalling. -- Suzanne S. Removing Word Templates
Depends on version of Word. In Word 97, you delete the templates and their
containing folders (or move them from the User Templates folder). In later versions you have to uninstall the templates.
