Why can I open only one document at a time in Word?
There used to be a time when I could open multiple documents in Word. You
know the minimized versions in the bottom bar. Then I must have done something wrong, and now I can only open one document at a time. Word allows for one minimized document in the bottom bar and that's it. |

This happens for the first time? If so then you just have to restart your pc
because sometimes when your pc its open for long time documents and internet expolorer pages can't open more than one file at the same time. They are blocked. You only have to restart your pc. -- olivia_ck Ο χρήστης "Jon" *γγραψε: There used to be a time when I could open multiple documents in Word. You know the minimized versions in the bottom bar. On the Edit tab of Tools | Options, check the box for "Windows in Taskbar."
But note that you can still open more than one document at a time in your current situation; they're just all in the same window. If you check the Window menu, you'll see they're all there. -- Suzanne S. Why can I open only one document at a time in Word?
Yes, that did the trick. I confess that I had been messing around in
Tools/Options, checking and unchecking boxes in an attempt to solve another problem. Yesterday I noticed that all the documents were indeed in the Window menu, but I could not coax them down into the task bar. This bit of information helps. Thanks. Jon "Suzanne S.
