Hi ?B?VmxhZGltaXI=?=,

How can the "File Open" routine in Word be programmed to sort the file in my
directory alphabetically? It opens the files sorted by time currently

Click on the "Name" bar. Sorting by file name would be the default for Word and
Windows. Most recent software versions should be "remembering" the settings you
used last.

In the Open dialog box, click the "Name" bar. This will sort Alphabetically.
Click again to change from Ascending to Descending, etc.
