Default open new file in existing page - word 2003

Hello there, I have been searching for the answer but to no avail. It would
be great if you can let me know how to open a new file/document in the
existing page, instead of keep popping up an new window/page every time I
open a new file.

This is for word 2003. An answer or a link to previous thread regarding this
subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | uncheck the "Windows
in Taskbar" box | OK.
