Track Changes and multiple reviewers
I received a Word 2003 doc with track changes by a reviewer. I am trying to
add my changes (Word 2000) in a different color using Tools/Options/Track Changes/Color. My user ID is different from reviewer #1, yet when I change to "my" color, the doc now displays #1's changes in "my" color too. How can I maintain separate colors for separate reviewers? |

You have to choose By Author in the color selection, and there is no way
to tie a person to a specific color, Word assigns them randomly. If you pick a color, that's a global setting that applies to all markup. In Word 2003 and Word 2007, you can use the Reviewing toolbar to show only edits from a specific reviewer, which may make keeping them all in the same color feasible. I don't know if Word 2000 had this feature. proofreader wrote: I received a Word 2003 doc with track changes by a reviewer.
