Why is Word getting the pitch wrong when printing sheets of label
When printing a 3x7 sheet of labels I give the pitch as 3.81cm and when the
sheet is printed the address does not come in the bottom few rows of labels. When I measure the actual pitch on the printed paper the pitch is 3.6cm. Does anyone know why this is happening and what to do to correct it? |

Try printing the labels to a sheet of plain paper and check the pitch on
that. The problem is quite likely caused by the inability of the printer to handle the label sheets. -- Hope this helps. Thanks very much for the suggestion. I tried it and the problem still exists
on plain paper. For some reason Word isn't telling the printer to move the paper by the right amount. I can actually get the right result by setting the pitch to 4.0cm and then it gets the pitch right at 3.8cm!! Has Microsoft devalued the centimetre?
