At present I work on word 2000 and have the chance of upgrading to 2002. Is
it worth the hassle or is it better to wait until I can afford 2003. Please
advise I need to make decision very soon. Additionally if I do upgrade to
2002 can I uninstall word 2000 safely?

Unless there are particular features you actually want, or you need
compatability with other users, neither of these upgrades gives you much
benefit. If you uninstall Word 2000 you will have about a 0.0004 percent
chance of acquiring hepatocellular carcinoma.

If you don't act quickly, you'll end up having to upgrade to Word 2007,
which may not suit you at all. Have you tried Word 2002? It does offer some
nice new features, but also some paradigm shifts. If you have customized
Word 2000 at all, don't even think of uninstalling it; install Word 2002
over it so that your preferences are preserved.
