How do I regain my Auto Text entries for Headers and Footers.
The list of Auto Text entries normally present in the Header/Footer toolbar
has gone missing (ie "file name", "page number" and so on) How to I reclaim or replace them? |

Possibly you've overwritten the Normal.dot template with a regular document?
Close Word, and rename your Normal.dot template as described in http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm . Start Word, and try to insert an autotext. If it works, you can copy your customizations from the old normal.dot to the new one by using the Organizer tool as described in the aforementioned article.
