Default can i un delete a word document?

i deleted a microsoft word document by accident and am trying to figure out
if i can retrieve it from anywhere?i have windows xp home edition 2002

You've tried the Recycle Bin I presume?



lol yes i have...a little box said something bout revert to document or
something & i clicked yes...then it disappeard...and i cant seem to find it
any where...any sugesstions?

Default can i un delete a word document?

When you 'restore' from the recycle bin, it puts the file back in its
original location. Check again to see if it back.

If you didn't save the document - it's gone
If you did save the document and you permanently deleted the saved file you
*may* be able to undelete it with file recovery software. Much depends on
what you have done in the interim.

thanx i just checked and its not there...when i was typing on the word
document it said something bout 'revert to'...so i clicked yes? still havent
found it!! arrrrgggghhh lol

ok thanx....i didnt save it cause usually a little box pops up asking if i
want to save b4 it closes the window but this time was just the little box
asking something bout 'revert document'
i just thought there may have been a simple answer to rectify my mistake
....lol
seems like i could b out of luck but thanx heaps for taking the time to try
to help me...much appreciated $

Default can i un delete a word document?

It sounds like you had a document open, made some changes, and then opened
the same document again. Upon opening it the second time you were asked if
you wanted to revert to the saved copy. When you answered "yes" then all of
your modifications were discarded which is different than deleting a
document. In this case there is nothing to undelete or recover - the
modifications are gone.
