Default adding and removing anchors

Hello, does anyone know how to remove an anchor from Word? Thanks for any help.

Objects in the drawing layer are always anchored to a text paragraph. The
only way to "remove" the anchor is to make a graphic inline. If you just
don't want to *see* the anchor, then clear the check box on the View tab of
Tools | Options.

The only kind of anchor in Word that I know of is that associated with
a textbox or floating graphic. To remove those anchors, you delete the
object.

If by "remove" you mean "make not visible", there's an option in the
Tools Options View dialog that you can uncheck.
