Page number including heading reference
I received a document for editing that has unusual page numbering. For
example, Page 1 says "1.1" with the first number reflecting the Article Number and the second, the page number. But the article number was manually placed in before the page number field code. Since that seems like trouble ahead, can you tell me how to reference (cross-reference?) only the number "1" while leaving out the word "Article" in the footer? I tried all the options given in the cross-reference dialog box and the result always had the word along with the number. Thanks a million! |

In the Format PageNumber dialog, uncheck the box for "Include chapter
number" -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
