Default Word 2000 vs 2003

I previously used Word 6.0 (dinosaur), and have been thrown into Word 2003.
I'm interested in taking a class on mail merge, but all that is offered is
Word 2000. How different or similar are the two systems?? Would I be
wasting my money??

Ironically, you would probably find that mail merge in Word 2000 is not much
different from mail merge in Word 6.0. The interface was entirely changed in
Word 2002, so you may find Word 2003's Mail Merge Wizard a challenge. Here
are some resources that may be helpful:

Express mail merges in Word 2002

If you never created a merge in Word 6.0 and want more basic instruction,
see these articles:

Creating a mail merge Data Source
