Default Word 2003 is automatically "accepting" my tracked changes

I am tracking changes to a policy and Word is automatically "accepting" the
items I add, but not the items I delete. Everything will be fine for a
while...then I'll look back at previous pages and all my added items are no
longer highlighted.

Any help will be apprecitated. I've tried to update the policy two times
already.

The document could be damaged. Have you tried copying the text into a new
document? See the following article for instructions on how to copy text and
preserve Track Changes:

Thank you. I do believe the file was damaged.
