Default how do I make columns of info in just a part of a sheet?

When I try to make 2 columns it does so for entire page, and not just for
lower
2\3 of the page.
I move to try to do a page break even, but it "columns" the entire document

To change the number of columns, you need to insert at least one section
break. If you select the text to be columned and then changed the number of
columns, Word takes care of this automatically. See
