Many Thanks Rae, but being very new to scanning this was my first go. What is
OCR and how would I scan to it I am using Epsom Smart panel.

OCR stands for optical character recognition. In other words scans as
editable text rather than an image or picture of the document. You will need
to use the help of your scanner to see the options available. I'm not
familiar with that model.

Your Epson scanner most likely came with a separate program called Abbyy
FineReader 5 Sprint or something similar. You need to take a closer look at
your User information. You may also have MS Office Document Scanning/Imaging
software... Take a look in the MS Office - Office Tools folder.
