printing with comment balloons
I can't find this particular question yet, so here goes.
When I print a document in B/W containing comments, the comments shows up nicely in the right margin, but the line to the highlighted text is way too light, and the highlighting of text doesn't show up at all. Is there a way to "boost" the shading in the highlighting so it shows up when printed? It's not a problem in color, but is a problem when I send something to someone without a color printer (like myself...)who can't "see" which text was highlighted for hte comment. Thanks. |

Try using a different (darker) color.

printing with comment balloons
Hello, Suzanne. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, I had already tried that
-- used the Track Changes/Options/Balloons and set color to Black, then printed a page and highlighting doesn't show. Tried color "Auto" and printed a page, still can't see highlighted text. The "color" of the balloon and highlighting on my screen changed from reddish to dark greyish, so I know that I was using the right menu to change the color, but printing B/W stayed the same - no text highlighting. Any other ideas? (Let me guess: buy a color printer!??!!) :-) "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Try using a different (darker) color. -- Suzanne S. Here's one more thing to try: in Tools | Options | Compatibility, check the
box for "Print colors as black on monochrome printers." -- Suzanne S. printing with comment balloons
Hello Suzanne. I was pretty excited when I read this suggestions, but alas,
it didn't work either. I'll read all the posts about alternative ways to print "comments" when I'm dealing with someone with a B&W printer... :-) Thanks so much for your efforts, Suzanne. You've been a great help to me in the past, too. Much appreciated. "Suzanne S.
