Word07 spellcheck mess. "do not check spelling or grammar"
Spell check in Word 2007 has been unreliable when checking document spelling.
Must be a setting error somewhere? Repeatedly get message "Text marked do not check spelling or grammar" was skipped". I notice that under Word options I can change some settings, but can't find out what is related to that message. My settings are standard out of the box settings. One setting that has me confused is under the heading Proofing and gives options named "Exceptions for:", I would like to choose no exceptions but there isn't such an option. It only lists my current document or all new documents. What can I do please? |

It seems that some of your text has this setting applied.
In 2003 and prior (sorry I don't ahve 2007 yet), it would have been to select the whole document (Ctrl+A), then double click the language button on the Status bar at the bottom of the Word window (or Tools, Language, Set Language), uncheck the Do Not check spelling or grammar option. This takes of all settings of this, redo the spell check and you wont see this message box (not an error message), but it will mean that if you specifically asked for something not to be spell check, it will now be checked. Hope this helps DeanH "Foss" wrote: Spell check in Word 2007 has been unreliable when checking document spelling. Must be a setting error somewhere? Yes your right DeanH, it is the same with 07, my apologies, I was just a bit
disorientated with the layout, but its virtually the same as 03. Thanks. Foss "DeanH" wrote: It seems that some of your text has this setting applied.
