how to run word 6.0 on windows 2000?
Until recently downloading a media player from the net, I have been able to
run Windows 6.0 and an early version of excel in my windows 2000 operating system. Now I simply get a message, "...AUTO EXEC.NT not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications," when I try to run. How can I get those programs to run? |

Try uninstalling MediaPlayer -- but chances are you'll have to reinstall
Windows 2000 to restore the earlier versions of whatever DLLs etc were modified. You've just met Microsoft's forced upgrade strategy. "kjmath13" wrote in message ... See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=324767 "Error message when you
install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit Windows-based program". kjmath13 wrote: Until recently downloading a media player from the net, I have been able to run Windows 6.0 and an early version of excel in my windows 2000 operating system.
