Default Word Document opens in Quickview

How do I prevent a word document from opening in Quickview. When I send an
email to someone else, the document opens in Quickview. How can I open it in
it's original form.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

QuickView has not been a part of Windows for several versions. Are you
perhaps referring to Reading Layout view? If so, there is not anything you
can do on your end. You will have to advise the recipient to clear the check
box for "Enable starting in Reading Layout" on the General tab of Tools |
Options. This feature was introduced in Word 2003, so it will not be a
problem for anyone who has an earlier version.

No, he has Quickview. Will uninstalling and reinstalling correct the problem?
Word 2000 word does not have the check box for "Enable starting in Reading
Layout"

Reregistering Word would ensure that Word was used to open Word documents.
