Is there a Text Recovery Converter utility for download?
Word is failing to load a document and reports that it may be corrupt. It
suggests open and repair of the use of Text Recovery Converter. What should I do - I cannot load the document! |

For 2003 and prior.
From Word 2003 Help. Recover the text from a damaged document: On the File menu, click Open. In the Look in list, click the drive, folder, or Internet location that contains the file that you want to open. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file. Select the file that you want to recover. Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair. Hope this helps DeanH "LOIword1" wrote: Word is failing to load a document and reports that it may be corrupt. It suggests open and repair of the use of Text Recovery Converter. "LOIword1", did Open & Repair work for you?
"densy", moving on... The Open and Repair is always my first step to hopefully correcting possible corruptions. Have a look he http://word.mvps.org/faqs/apperrors/corruptdoc.htm Hopefully one of these options can save your work. Best of luck DeanH "densy" wrote: This is not working for me,is there anything else I can do? "DeanH" wrote: For 2003 and prior. From Word 2003 Help.
