Default Linking page numbers from one document as a reference point in ano

I have the following problem:

I have a set of instrucor notes that refer to page numbers in the student
work book.

I am constantly updating the information in both books and the page
reference numbers in the instructor notes are always inaccurate.

I therefore have to update the instructor manual (360 pages) every time I
run the course.

Is there any way I can get word to link the instructor document to the
student one which would then automatically update the instructor one with
the correct page number from the student one?
