Default watermark

My doucment is three colums document broken down by groups. I want to place
a different month of the year on each group to indicate which month they must
attend the meeting.

It really isn't clear what you are asking, but my guess is that you want to
use a 3-column *Table* rather than a 3 (newspaper-type) column layout.

If this isn't helpful please provide a more specific idea of what you are
trying to do & include what version of Word you are using.

I think he wants the month name as a watermark behind the appropriate
column.

I think I would probably use a table for this and watermark the cells - see
