Hi,
Is it possible to update the field formula automatically instead of doing
Ctrl-A then F9?

Hi Shawn,
You will have to create an autonew macro in your template. See here for an
example:
http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm
Or you can use a protected form and use the calculate on exit in the field
dialog box.

Uhm... I think I've missed something. Which field? In online forms you can
set the source fields to calculate on exit so that calculation fields based
on them will be immediately updated. What I am talking about is what Word
calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms,
follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...nesInForms.htm.

Hope this helps,
