Using section breaks with formated (styles) pages
I am attempting to create a single word document using section breaks. I
want to combine previously formated documents into one document. I open the first document then insert a section break at the end and insert a new document by using copy and paste then insert a section break again at the end of this page and so forth. I figured out how to keep the page numbers (page x of y) and the rest of my header information together within it's section but the documents that have styles assigned to them continue their numbering(in the body of the document) from the previous section. Example - i have a page that has a heading that says Part 1 - General; -Part 2 - Products; - Part 3 - Execution. The next page (new section) say Part 5 - General when it should say Part 1- General. I can't find where i can change it start at 1 for each new section. I hope i was able to explain my problem clearly. I am using mircosoft word 2002. Thank you for your time. Coleen |

Outline/heading numbering can't be restarted in a new section the way page
numbering can. For that you need different techniques. See http://www.syntagma.demon.co.uk/FAQs...artMethods.htm -- Suzanne S.
