Default Word 2007

I have Word 2007 on my computer. When clicking on 'Word Options', the
options appear but no check boxes appear to the left of the option, making it
impossible to use Word options. Any idea as to either what's wrong or how to
fix it would be much appreciated.

Could be a damaged Word 2007 data key in the Windows registry.
Close Word 2007, start regedit, and rename or delete the
"\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12. 0\Word\Data"
key. Word will automatically create a new data key when you
restart it.

If that doesn't fix the problem, then try working through the
troubleshooting steps at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...artingWord.htm .

Try repairing your Office 2007 installation by running "Office
Diagnostics" or "Detect and Repair" as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=924611 "How to install and to
repair 2007 Office features".
