Default Table dropdown menu

When accessing the 'Table' dropdown menu in Word 2002 the flyouts don't work.
Example: If you click on the word 'Insert' nothing happens. The first level
all work fine. The flyouts don't. The flyouts for all others (File, Edit,
View, etc. )work fine.
