section break continuous turns into page break
I have a long document with many section breaks and other formatting. At one
point I insert a section break (continuous) that turns automatically into a section break (next page). I have endnotes following most section breaks. I thought it might be the line and page break settings for the endnotes or the following paragraph, but that is not the case. Do you have any ideas? Thank you in advance. |

Endnotes shouldn't have the same effect as footnotes, but the latter will
definitely cause that problem. See "Section break causes an unexpected page break in Word" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=292074. -- Suzanne S. Interesting. That's not it. Checkbox is already selected, and the problem
was with just this one end-of-section endnote, not any footnotes. (There no footnotes on that page or on the pages immediately preceding or following. Additionally, there are other pages that have both footnotes and endnotes where there's no problem). Is there anything else to try? "Suzanne S. What happens if you change the section start type back to Continuous (on the
